Rapa Nui is what the natives (who are of polynesian descent) call Easter Island. Previously, they called it "navel of the world". Rapa Nui is the most remote inhabited island in the world, and it certainly feels that way (distance to Chile 3500 km, to Tahiti 4000 km). That's nearly the distance across Canada!! The island is a small triangle, sitting in the middle of the Pacific Ocean; it is only approx 30km long.
